See Beautiful Woman of the Month

If you haven't visited the Girls & Women's section of See Beautiful this month, you haven't had a chance to meet our See Beautiful Woman of the Month. She is an incredible person and we are thrilled to share her with you. Additionally, we are highlighting the wonderful organizations for Girls and Women that we also feature in the "Girls and Women" section of our website. Please check them out below. We highly recommend supporting them!

See Beautiful Woman of the Month: KRISHANA KRAFT

Krishana Kraft is beautiful. We are honored to feature her as our September See Beautiful woman of the month. While See Beautiful is raising awareness for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we recognize that Krishana is by no means a child, but her post honors the bravery, strength and sense of humor it takes to battle cancer with love (and we also think she'd like to be thought of as having a child-like spirit).

Krishana's post is inspiring, empowering, hopeful, happy and well, let's be honest, down right beautiful.

By Krishana Kraft:
"It is said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I believe beauty is at first in the eye of my Creator. He knew me before I was born, what I would be like, the family and friends I would have, what would make me laugh, and what would make me cry. He knew that I would go through cancer, that I wouldn't always understand why bad things happen and how to create beauty of out yuck. The reason I'm beautiful and the reason my life is full of beauty is because He creates beauty. He creates beauty out of ashes: out of disappointments, out of shattered dreams, out of broken hearts and broken lives. Others may have looked at my Stage 4 Follicular Lymphoma diagnosis in March 2010 and thought, How could beauty ever come out of something that takes away your energy, your hair and sometimes even your life? But He brought beauty, smiles, laughter, joy and indescribable peace throughout that part of my journey. While it was hard and I wouldn't want to go through it again, I don't regret that part of my story because He used it to create beauty and it has made me who I am today. I'm excited to share that I've been in remission since June 17, 2010.

My hope and prayer now is that I can be a vessel of His beauty to share with the world. I especially want teen girls to know that they are beautiful because of Who created them. That is my life mission: to declare His beauty wherever I go.  "To all who mourn in Zion, He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for His own glory." (Isaiah 61:3)"
