Pay It Forward Friday: Leave a Treat for your Postal Worker

Like many other service oriented professions (ex. Teachers, Police Officers, Firefighters) mailwomen and men work long hours for less than they deserve. Additionally, they spend the day alone, moving from home to home, retrieving and delivering communication between others. What if we sent them a note?

You might consider leaving a little "thank you" for your mail deliverer thanking him/her for all he/she does. Or, you might just want to send a "Happy Friday and have a splendid weekend" message on a post-it note that you place inside your mailbox. It only takes a few seconds of your time to turn another's day around.

Added bonus: Your letter requires no stamps!

How are you paying it forward going into the weekend?

  4. This is perfect! When I was a kid I would leave a baggie of my halloween candy for the mailman, and now I leave Starbucks or Applebees gift cards for christmas. They don't get appreciated enough :)

  5. Hopping over from FTLOB Comment Sunday.

I love this idea for a multitude of reasons. One being that I work for this industry and it makes me happy that people appreciate the people I have a hand in training. :)
