A liberating thought for your day: You can just be who you are. All life is really asking us to do is be ourselves. That's all. Whoever you are, where ever you are, have been, or are going, life is asking that you show up and bring beautiful into every moment and choice and action simply as you are.
An understanding of an oft-applied reality: We ask ourselves who we are. That's fair. We're reflective. It's what helps us grow. But when pop culture rears its ugly head uninvited to our reflection party there's a snafu. When we ask, "Who am I? What am I here to do?" the answer to these questions can become blurred. Truth is, these answers come over time - if ever - as the answer is probably always changing given our growing understanding of ourselves and with our life experiences. We're growing and changing all the time (in a beautiful way - we might add). Our real task though: Be yourself - which is beautiful and good and smart and strong and kind and creative and loving and loved. Now is a perfect time to just be yourself. Discover your goodness. Beauty. Uniqueness. Others will see it too.

ReplyDeleteOh yes. I love just being myself. It's who I was created to be... and it's beautiful. Sure it might be fun and even inviting to be so free spirited like my brother Easy. But then the world would miss out on the silliness of me. But together the world is a much more beautiful place when we enbrace ourselves..
