The Sounds of Those We Love

Words cannot express the magnitude of the moment captured in this video, except for the fact that it was precisely words that made the interaction so significant. This beautiful 8-month-old hears his mother's voice for the very first time after receiving a cochlear implant. We'll let you see beautiful.

There is nothing like hearing the voices of those we love. Perhaps we take it for granted too often. Next time you talk to your loved ones, listen to their voice. Appreciate hearing it. Share thanks that you hear them at all.

  1. Such a beautiful message -- such love and joy between these two. As I reflect on yesterday indeed the joy and laughter shared with my family and our two special guests from Nigeria was so beautiful and so very grateful. Happy Holidays.

  2. That is indeed beautiful. True sometimes, maybe even often, we take the sounds we hear for granted and they are overlooked. Like laying in bed and greeting the day with the sounds of birds singing outside my window, or the crunch of snow on an early morning walk with my MOM this morning before anyone was out and about.
    Blessings,
