Just Keep Giving (In Unique and Beautiful Ways)

In the spirit of Thanksgiving and GIVING THANKS and GIVING, we're showcasing our amazing See Beautiful Giving Initiatives throughout the week. With today being Thanksgiving we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the role we have the honor of playing in See Beautiful. It is a gift that we get to see this community of amazing people grow and we are committed to continuing to help more and more people see and create beautiful in their lives. We donate $5 from every $15 See Beautiful Aluminum Cuff purchase to the See Beautiful Giving Feature of your choice. When they reach their goal, we send them a check. It's that simple (and beautiful)!

DANIELLE LEE INITIATIVE: select DANIELLE LEE from the dropdown box when purchasing.*

Picture
Help Danielle Lee continue to spread beautiful in the world! Danielle is 26 years old and celebrated her one year wedding anniversary Sunday, July 20.   She has a devoted husband, precious 6 year old step son and a close knit supportive family.  Danielle was living a wonderful new chapter in her life when suddenly her world was turned upside down.  In May of this year this beautiful young woman had a large tumor removed from her stomach.  At first her doctors could not determine what it was.  With the help of Memphis based St. Jude and LeBonheur Hospitals and a second opinion from Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, Danielle was told she has a very rare form of cancer called Ewing’s Sarcoma.

Picture
Not much is known about this form of cancer since it is so rare.  Survival rates have varied.  Doctors are not sure about her chances for survival due to her type of tumor and the fact that she is metastatic.  Treatment is aggressive so she is being hit with heavy doses of chemo & she will also be undergoing Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy, or HIPEC, surgery.  This uncommon procedure involves going into her stomach to remove any cancer and pouring chemo into her belly.  It is unknown how successful this treatment will be, but Danielle and her family are hopeful for a positive outcome.  But with the damaging effects she will endure because of all the chemo, Danielle will need an Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation.  This procedure requires at least 2 separate trips to Washington University in St Louis that will include a 1 week stay for the collection and a minimum of 30 days as an inpatient for the actual transplant.  Although St. Jude Hospital has been involved in diagnosing Danielle’s tumor, she is not a candidate for treatment there since she missed the cut off age by 5 months.  While the community has been very supportive in raising funds to help with her huge medical expenses, Danielle needs more help.  The estimated goal for these 2 trips to St. Louis to cover fuel, lodging and meals for her & her husband is $7500. In spite of the fear and pain that comes with this horrific sickness, Danielle has remained positive and is continuing to live her life as fully as possible.  She has shown admirable strength and courage.  Thank you for reading this story and please keep Danielle and our family in your thoughts and prayers. We are honored to support Danielle and hope you can create a little more beautiful in her world through your support as well!
How Your Purchase Helps: $5 from every See Beautiful Aluminum cuff sale is donated to Danielle Lee to help her travel to St. Louis for her cancer treatments.

HOW GLOBAL Giving Initiative: (select HOW GLOBAL from the dropdown box when purchasing)*

Picture
A simple purchase can create so much beautiful in the lives of young girls in Kenya by supporting HOW GLOBALHow Global is raising funds to provide a three-day camp for girls during a national holiday in December.

This camp is crucial, as the timing of this camp coincides with when young girls are often forced to succumb to genital mutilation. Girls attending this camp will learn from doctors and nurses about why this puts their lives at risk. During the camp, children who have taken the vow not to cut will further understand the important decision they made.

Picture This camp is one creating beautiful as girls' voices and strength will be honored and celebrated. They will write poems, sing songs, and celebrate their ability to make healthy, empowering choices for themselves and their bodies.

Each girl who gets to attend is one more life saved from the tragedy of cutting. Please help HOW GLOBAL create more beautiful for these girls in Kenya!

How Your Purchase Helps
: $5 from every See Beautiful Aluminum cuff sale is donated to How Global to provide an empowering and educational camp for young girls in Kenya!
