The best trick in my book... Wait until your big sister is in the middle of taking a hot shower and toss a massive jug full of ice cold water over the top of the curtain so that it splashes her, freezes her, and ticks her off a little bit! The best part is that she's in the middle of a shower and can't really jump out and come after you. Classic sibling tricks.
ReplyDeleteTreat?! I say treating someone to a See Beautiful bracelet is a nice thing to do. It's the gift that keeps on giving. The person that receives it, get's to be reminded every time that she wears it, that she is beautiful. And SB's non-profit of the month benefits financially from the purchase. Good stuff!
Treat.... just a simple smile to someone can just make their day, a hug to someone you care about, a call to a Mom (one of my favorites), a handwritten Thank You for being who you are...and on and on and on...
ReplyDeleteTrick....short sheet someone's bed. (you are probably to young to remember that one)
Happy Halloween to ALL
well i don`t have any tricks unfortunatelly... but for me the beautiful thing about Halloween is all these small happy ( scarry ) faces at our door... i love it! sharing treats to them, makes me also happy : )
ReplyDeleteAs a part time photographer I give photos of my work to those who appreciate the " soul" of a picture, the part that speaks to an individual. it is a gift that has been given to me so how can I not pas it on<3
ReplyDeleteWoof! Woof! The Beauty of Giving TREATS!!! Oh my treat to everyone is sharing my Golden SMILEs. Will pass on your giveaway. Wishing Lilly n Buddy a FUN Safe Halloween. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteMy favorite treat is listening to someone - really listening when they need to be heard. This could be someone you know really well or even someone you meet in a random place. Giving someone your full attention and listening to them is so important - and people feel the difference.
ReplyDeletehmmm, let's see....treat would be making sure to smile at others during that day. You never know what that person is going through and a smile may be the one thing that lifts their spirits.
ReplyDeleteI think the best way I treat people is my gift of TIME. My family means the world to me and letting them know by giving them my time and attention is the way I 'treat' them. :)
ReplyDeleteI love to "treat" people with a text or a note via fbook or email just to let them know I am thinking about them. It means a lot to me when I know that, for no particular reason, someone has thought about me that day! so I think it means a lot that I do that to others.
ReplyDeleteMy "treat" today consisted first of judging a man at the bus-stop. He had a cane and a small cardboard sign that said, "Homeless...Hungry." Rather than rolling down the window and helping him out, I drove on. As I drove, tears welled up as I realized what an evil thing I'd done in judging this man. I do not know his story. I do not know if he was truly in need or just another con artist. That's not for me to decide. I parked at the restaurant where I was meeting my friend and repented. When I looked up out of my tears, a man approached my car. I rolled down the window to hear him ask, "Hi, ma'am. Sorry to bother you, but would you have a quarter to spare?" Through my tears and shame, I handed him a Wal-Mart gift card for $20 and watched as he opened the little envelope, confused. When he pulled it out, the confusion turned to a smile. "It's for $20 to Wal-Mart," I said. "God bless you," he answered. In essence, my "treat" today was more about undoing a wrong than about going the extra mile. I think I'll try to do that more often...
ReplyDeleteTreat...sending a card out to someone out of the blue.
ReplyDeleteTrick...changing the ringtone on your hudband's cell phone.
I Treat my girlz every day, but I also make random Greeting Cards to send to friends...always a treat to the receiver!
ReplyDeleteLydia,
