Pay It Forward Friday: Shift Your Perspective

Beautiful. Strong. Unique. You are all of those things. What if media tells you otherwise? What if media tells you a family member or friend is not beautiful, or strong, or unique? Richard Bailey, curator and photographer, felt this was the negative message he was receiving when educating himself about his daughter's diagnosis with down syndrome. Inspiringly, he set out to show how children with down syndrome cannot be summed up in "one little box." The following video has been showcased around the world to change the way people think about down syndrome and it is beautiful.

As our Pay It Forward Friday idea, we're asking you to shift your perspective. When you shift your perspective you can comfort another, educate others, and spread beauty worldwide. Shifting your perspective can make this world a better place. Look at people, not labels. Get to know people, not a condition. Listen to people, not rumors.

Shift your perspective. It's beautiful.
