Getting to better; it's a lifestyle we're all striving for in the world. In some aspect of our lives, or the world, we are always looking for ways to "get to better." Stephen De Groot, founder of Getting to Better, conceptualizes of this movement, vision, mission in the most inspiring way. Spend one minute on their website and you're already reflecting on your life and how you can live it to be better and make the world better. Getting to Better, or G2B, is built upon the foundational premise that "EVERYONE has something that they can contribute (time, energy, information, advice, money, skills, talents, influence, etc) to make their own or somebody else’s life BETTER, even just a little, or a lot. All of us from time to time need the support of others to move to BETTER. Wouldn’t it be nice to have somebody help out just when you needed it the most? And simply, just because they could? Awesome! That’s it. Just Because! We CAN!" (De Groot, 2012). As you can imagine, we love this vision. This mission. This call to be better. We think it's beautiful. It's inspiring and it's wonderful to support. As they grow their community of caring individuals through "individual and collective gestures, interactions, actions and initiatives we can begin to create more of a light in the world by helping others and ourselves get to BETTER. When we feel better, are better, we do better. And when we do better we are all better for it!" (De Groot, 2012). And that leaves us seeing really, really beautiful.
