Paw It Forward: Surf & See (and HOP!)

Surf Dog Ricochet was supposed to be a service dog. Her mom wanted her to make a difference in someone's life. Ricochet had a different plan - she wanted to make a difference in the lives of millions. Adapting service dog's expertise, Ricochet is the only known dog in the world who surfs with people with exceptionalities as an assistive partner. She's a SURFice dog. We love her. We first learned about the myriad ways Ricochet helps others see beautiful in her surfing adventure with Ian, a beautiful six-year-old child. Upon watching the video (and shedding some tears) we sought out Ricochet, only to find her website representing a beautiful passion for "Pawing" it Forward. Ricochet and her owner have raised over $100,000 for various people and causes through adaptive surfing experiences. Her "Surfing for PAWS- abilities" page is one of the most beautiful reflections of a human reflecting what dogs to best: Loving.

Oh, and it just keeps getting better people (and pets)! Ricochet and her owner are committed to the see beautiful movement as they work to inspire people to be who they truly are..."without judgement or intention to change. To focus on what they CAN do, which allows for a celebration of amazing outcomes!" Promoting kindness, charity, philanthropy, and social responsibility (see the video "It gets better: You're amazing just the way you are" for kids (and adults) who are bullied, and the sequel to my SURFice dog video, Be True to Yourself).

In support of Ricochet's beautiful life of pawing it forward, our hope for you as you move into the weekend is to simply check out Ricochet's website and see if there's an opportunity for you to support one of her next SURFice dog initiatives.
