When it
comes to seeing beautiful, one of the most wonderful parts of what
we get to do is raise awareness for, and donate to, wonderful
non-profit organizations. This month's non-profit leaves us seeing
beautiful in so many ways!
Why Girls With Sole?
Spend 10 minutes conversing with Founder, Liz Ferro, and you'll be inspired - your soul will be moved (pun intended). The non-profit organization grow from Liz Ferro's own life experiences. Her commitment to empowering young girls to grow their inner strength and literally "see beautiful" during difficult times is drawn from her own childhood growing up in foster homes and experiencing abuse.
Liz writes, "Girls With Sole programming has been a community collaborative effort from the very start. We partner with social service agencies, schools, hospitals, juvenile attention facilities, and residential treatment centers to bring free fitness and wellness programs to the girls where they are. A few of our program partners include: The Cleveland Rape Crisis Center; Boys and Girls Club of Lorain; The Intergenerational School; Merrick House; MetroHealth; Bellefaire JCB; and the Multi-County Juvenile Attention System."
By providing a safe physical environment for girls to thrive withing, they can expend negative engery in a positive way through mind, body and spirit. At This movement is captured in the acronym LULA, meaning “Lacing Up for a Lifetime of Achievement.” Reinforcing the understanding that nothing in life is impossible. And that, friends, is truly beautiful.

- offering weekly programs designed to equip girls with tools needed to see and create beautiful in their own lives;

- continuing education focused on wellness programs to girls from coast to coast who want to "Lace Up for a Lifetime of Achievement."
