Some
days are planned out completely around one important event. Your whole
schedule is altered to make sure this one thing happens. It could be a
meeting for work, a lunch appointment, a repairman coming over.
Something you've been anticipating and need to see through. And
typically these things go smoothly, everything goes as planned and you
can breathe a sigh of relief when it's all done. However, there are
those rare occurrences when your perfectly planned and scheduled
appointments get cancelled. Perhaps you'll have a short, sudden moment
of panic or frustration. You might even experience an inkling of
disappointment. But even a cancelled appointment is a moment to see
beautiful. "How?," you might ask. Just think of it this way: a cancelled
appointment frees up a gap of time in your day. This time can be used
for any number of things that bring you joy. It can be time to relax
doing whatever calms you most. You could spend more time with your
family or take your dog for a longer walk. It can be time for a nap,
time to write, time to call a friend and catch up. Time to cook up
something delicious or time to sit down and read a book.
Free
time in a perfectly scheduled day is a great window for your choice of
beauty to shine through. So don't fret or panic, and don't worry about
wasted time. Take the time you would have spent being busy and make it
beautiful!

Love this message -- it really is how you see it and a cancelled appointment becomes a beautiful opportunity.
ReplyDeletei concur. in our house, a cancelled appointment would mean a longer coffee break and more doggie time. win-win!
