Are You Wearing a Disguise?

This post is a continuation of our Free Hugs Campaign post. If you missed that one, click HERE (it's worth it).

Hugging PART II:

This furry friend is part of a larger movement in which we are to ask, "Must we disguise ourselves so that we may come closer to one another?" Ponder that thought while watching the following video, an add campaign from Pro Infirmis, an organization that aids and supports people with disabilities.

We ask again, "Must we disguise ourselves so that we may come closer to one another?" Are you wearing a disguise so others will grow closer to you? Let's just be ourselves. Shed the disguise, it's the real you who is beautiful. It's the real you who's worthy of so much. It's the real you who makes us all see beautiful. It's the real you who makes this world more beautiful. It's shedding time, People!

  1. Unfortunately, this video is so true. People are just afraid of the unknown. That applies to people as well. That is why, when you get to know someone, their appearances and/or difference seem to just fad away. I wonder...if we did drop the disguises earlier, would they fad quicker?

  3. No need to Disguise. We are all different "Amazing" individuals. Don't be afraid to be yourself and express yourself and act in your own way.

Want to share a quote from François Duc de La Rochefoucauld ... "We are so accustomed to disguise ourselves to others that in the end we become disguised to ourselves."

  4. I love this post. Thank you for sharing! I also love this quote that Sugar the Golden Retriever shared. It is a matter that I think about quite a lot. Also in the context of this blogging thing and the 'world' we create with it. I did a (very short) post on it here: http://iladyoracle.blogspot.com/2011/03/identity.html

Glad I found your blog. It certainly piques my interest, with all those ethical questions you raise!
